This charming game for toddlers merges pretend play with real world skill building. Using the eight “recipe” cards, player/learners identify the ingredients (such as, acorns, pine cones, blueberries, and dandelions), match them to the play pieces, add them to the pot and stir. Our testers were pleasantly surprised at their young ones’ newfound interest in cooking, and appreciated that through play, they honed their motor skills, counting and recognition, creative thinking, and vocabulary building.
Contents include a round box that serves as a game board, eight “recipe” cards, a wooden spoon, and 28 wooden “ingredients.”
