Anytime Art
In a relaxed, conversational style, host Sasha Schwartz guides listeners through varied art projects. Each project—paper sculptures, mobiles, self-portraits, “Food Art,” an accordion book, and more—is executed over five, 9- to- 15-minute episodes, beginning with a warm-up craft and working up to the finished project. Younger children may be lost without a visual guide, but not being able to see what Schwartz is doing underscores the show’s emphasis on original thinking. The messages throughout; take your time, every artist is different, this is what I’m doing, but you’ll do your own thing; mistakes can be good, don’t hesitate to make changes. The website lists needed materials; Schwartz tells listeners the specific materials needed for each project.
