Chicken Soup for the Soul’s Hidden Heroes

Ages: 13 - 16Producer: Litton Entertainment

Hosted by Brook Burke-Charvet, (“Dancing with the Stars”), this TV magazine-format program introduces “hidden heroes,” everyday people who make an extraordinary difference in their communities and around the world.

Imagine a contractor who builds tiny homes for the homeless, using found and recycled materials. Envision a teen entrepreneur who designs and makes his own line of bow ties, and then donates100% of the proceeds to send underprivileged children to summer camp. Consider a social experiment that brings people of different backgrounds together and asks them to re-examine the “snap judgments” they made based on looks alone.

Bone marrow donors, mentors for teens, advocates for people affected by bullies, by poverty, by illness; Hidden Heroes features and inspiring collection of everyday people driving positive change. Even better, many are young people, showing viewers that they don’t have to wait until they are adults to make a difference; it only takes determination and commitment.
