With a fun fresh look, ChopChop magazine is a delicious seasonal treat for young chefs and the foodie families who love them.
The easy-to-follow recipes begin with a Before You Start message from the “Scallion Sisters” (at least that’s what we named them): Wash, Clean, Gather, Scrub and Prepare. Each themed issue features Quick Bites aka instant (healthy) snacking, a learning guide, Kitchen Science, a recipe for the youngest (think cream cheese on a whole grain cracker or berries mixed into yogurt), mouthwatering photos, facts, puzzles and more. Vegetables play a key role (heads up spinach haters), recipes have a math challenge, readers are emboldened to try new foods, and families are encouraged to cook and eat together. Even seasoned cooks have plenty to learn: What happens if you overmix pancake batter? French Toast made from stale bread soaks the egg mixture more easily; and the many flavors that go well with carrots.
Kids are featured on the cover and throughout the pages, making the appealing even more accessible and inviting. Terms and recipes are clearly defined and described, and each 36-page quarterly is available in English as well as in Spanish.
Is it dinner time yet?
