En La Radio
With its jaunty rhythms and catchy melodies, the latest album from singer/songwriter/music educator Nathalia Palis-McLaughlin is a welcome addition to the field of bilingual children’s music. Inspiring sing-along participation, the well-crafted songs in English and Spanish emphasize shared experiences, from Sounds of the Seasons, building with Legos (L-E-G-O Let’s Go!), and an invitation to dance (Baila Conmigo) to a shy Little Hermit Crab addressing a child’s uncertainty about change with tender simplicity. Tumbleweed, with a banjo-bounce, lends country flavor; Amor Amor is a warm-hearted highlight. The sound of a radio tuning into different stations separates the tracks.
