As playful in title as it is in practice, Grid Block has just two rules: 1) shapes of the same color must touch and 2) the same shapes must never touch. The goal of the game is to place all one’s pieces on the board; the player with the most pieces placed, wins. There are rules for a tie breaker.
In a two-player game, each player chooses 2 colors for her 2 sets of 4 shapes. In games with three or four players, each chooses one set of one color. In turn, players place one piece on the gameboard as they observe, strategize, think ahead to their next moves while anticipating their opponents. Getting up to speed is a breeze. Staying ahead of the game is challenging, and fun.
