HiL-LaRRy-uS is a whimsy-filled, wisecracking Pinna podcast where a child who has a sense of humor, or who is developing one, will find a steady stream of laugh-out-loud levity where playful gags, funny puns and one-liners serve as a wonderful tutorial for youngsters and would-be quipsters.

The show’s debut joke: “Are monsters any good at math?” Answer: “Well, it depends if you Count Dracula!” Ha-ha!

More? “What does a frog eat?” Answer: “French Flies.” “But what does it drink?” Answer (to the sound of frogs): “Diet Croke!”

Okay, right, some jokes are funnier than others, and that’s true of this podcast. But what it does well, besides encourage some laughter every day, is introduce youngsters to positive humor. Hosts Hillary and Larry interact happily with lots of clever word play just setting up each joke, they tell the joke, then enjoy, cringe and laugh along with their audience.

“Knock, knock.” “Who’s there?” “Harry” Harry who?” “Harry up, this joke is taking forever!”

HiL-LaRRy-uS brings one joke a day, 365 days a year. Some days you even get two jokes … because Hillary and Larry can’t help themselves. None are mean-spirited or hurtful. And what good humor can spark in your child’s life, besides big grins and lasting smiles, is creativity, imagination, self-acceptance, social interaction, good health (laughter is the best medicine) and happiness. What a great, simple idea to make a kid’s day better. And ours, too.
