Kiddopia – Kids Learning Games
Kiddopia is a subscription based extensive series of games and activities for preschoolers and young elementary children. There are several main content/game areas: ABC Animal Adventures, Learn with Songs, Buzzle, Candy Town, Community Helpers, Alex the Explorer, and Junior Chef’s cafe as well as drawing activities and a super-fun photo editor.
While some of the games are more entertaining than educational (e.g., the Pet Salon or the Hair Salon), many of them are geared towards teaching important early learning skills. There are animated alphabet flashcards, letter tracing activities, and counting games not to mention a wide selection of songs designed to help children learn their numbers, letter sounds, and even the importance of recycling. Other games teach children about community helpers or even have children acting as pet doctors or carpenters or chefs.
A very limited number of games and activities are available in the free trial version; unlocking the broad range and amount of content requires a purchase: Lifetime Full Access ($49.99) or purchase subscriptions: $34.99/year or $4.99/month; subscriptions can be shared by up to six family members. It is an entertaining series of games if you are willing to subscribe, but considering that each of the activities contained in this app can be found in other free apps, the cost may be prohibitive for many budgets.
