Kidsread2kids gets an A for effort. Being a teen isn’t easy; and reading out loud can be so t-o-t-a-l-l-y awkward. Add a learning disability to the mix and the mortification quotient soars.
The site’s young readers are on a mission to show and share the gift of reading to those who struggle. By reading their favorite books (yes, many are abridged versions) to the camera, these role models hope to demonstrate that overcoming a learning disability isn’t impossible. And that the practice of reading is both fun and important.
