MarcoPolo World School
Jump in the bus and buckle up, it’s time for a virtual field trip with MarcoPolo’s World School. Head to the Savanna to learn about animals, their habitats, and even their adaptations to their environments. Tour the human body and learn about cells, senses, and organs. Or, head to the Arts and Crafts room to create thematically-related crafts. Curriculum is presented via a combination of animated and live-action videos, throughout which mini-games are interspersed for variety. The content is age-appropriate, engaging, and challenging without being overwhelming.
The app features a wide variety of curriculum in content areas such as literacy, math, science, technology, art, animals, food, vehicles, and more. Through the curriculum, children also progress in skill areas including, but not limited to sight words, letter formation/recognition, phonemic awareness, number recognition, and more.
The Parents’ Area features information on children’s skill levels in the app’s various content areas and their progress through the app’s various curriculum modules. The information is displayed in an easy-to-understand, percentage format that allows parents to have a quick snapshot at any given time. Parents can register for a free seven-day trial, but after that a $5.99 monthly subscription fee is required.
