Mr. Game: The Chaotic Party Game, includes a heavy-duty gameboard, 104 cards, eighteen tiles, eight player pieces, eight player cards, two four-sided die, two goal markers, instructions, an alternative game type booklet, and four blank cards. To win Mr. Game, you roll the die, pull some cards, and make it to the goal space; sounds simple right? Not so fast! Before starting, players select Mr. Game, a player who gets to make additional rules and settle disputes throughout game play.
The game’s cards are divided into three types: Actions, Powerups, and Badges; these cards are used not only to advance one’s own progress but to hinder that of other players as well. For example, Mr. Magnet pulls another player to your space. Ball and Chain freezes a player in place, and Mind Control allows you to control another player (unless that player is in possession of Mr. Tinfoil which flips the control). Players can also add/remove game spaces; they can even move the goal space! Even if you play the game as the original directions suggest, the game will never be the same twice, but to make it even more versatile and appealing, the game also includes instructions for ten alternate versions of the game.
