In this weekly musical comedy show, the members of a band called The FurryTones are four foxes with teen-style personalities. Their manager, and the show’s narrator, is a parrot. During each nine- to 12-minute episode, the band hits the road to play at special events for animals all over the world. Season one took them to a sand crab’s birthday, a baby shower for a cave bat, a sheep festival, a reindeer race, a rattlesnake wedding, and other occasions. Along the way, the band members write songs and encounter dilemmas (they have to build a raft to get to the sand crab’s island, for instance) and engage in mildly humorous banter. Pop music segments, while not notably original, aptly punctuate the action.
